We have produced the limited, estate-grown and bottled Rothwell Hyde since 2001. As each year has passed, we have continued to evolve Rothwell Hyde into a true estate vineyard blend comprised of fruit from Madrona Ranch, Capella, Thorevilos and Howell Mountain. The methods and philosophies applied to Rothwell Hyde expand on our belief that the blending of fruit and fermenting of different varieties together produce dynamic, ethereal wines of purity and balance. Using this method we are able to achieve a true Grand Vin, similar to the inspiring wines of the Medoc we are so privileged to enjoy.
This tenth release of Rothwell Hyde is stunning. In 2010 we were able to craft a 14 barrel blend into a wine that shows the beautiful opulence of the vintage. The blend has brilliant layers of flavor and complexity coupled with a dense core of fruit and a freshness that is a signature of the vintage. The 2010 Rothwell Hyde provides a glimpse into the greatness of the 2010 vintage and will certainly impress given the vineyard pedigree.
